You’ve Heard of God’s Kingdom. But, what is it?
Why is it necessary for human beings on earth?
God’s Kingdom is the domain or territory in which God and his government rules and reigns. It is a spiritual kingdom that is filled with all the power, glory, wisdom, honor and riches of God. Included in this domain is Heaven, God’s original habitation, and the earth. Because God is a spirit, he also makes his habitation among his people (Psalm 22:3). Under the New Covenant, the Kingdom of God occupies the hearts of every believer (Luke 17:21), therefore these human beings would also fall under the domain or dominion of God’s Kingdom.
The Kingdom of God Holds the Mystery of God’s Plan for Your Life God has a time and purpose for every human who lives upon the earth. It is a plan for good and not evil; a plan that offers a good future and hope (Jeremiah 29:11). God has also placed within the hearts of every human a yearning to know and fulfill his or her purpose in the world. But, that yearning cannot be filled by human efforts, but by God alone (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
God’s Plan and Purpose for Your Life is Revealed by His Spirit The purpose for every human can only be fully revealed by the Spirit of God; because eye has not seen, nor has ear heard, neither has it entered into the hearts of man what God has planned for those who love him; BUT God reveals it by His Spirit (I Corinthians 2:9-11).
You need to be Plugged-in to God’s Kingdom to Receive from God’s Spirit.
In the world of technology, accurate communication requires the following:
1) The correct equipment,
2) Equipment must be in good working order, and
3) Equipment must be correctly connected to both source and receiver
4) One must also utilize an industry prescribed connection cable or device
The same is true for any accurate communication from the Kingdom of God to any human being on earth. If you are a human on earth, your body is the correct equipment. In order for your body to be in good working, you must have a heart willing and ready to receive from God. Your heart is the receiver of information from God. God is the source. Now you must connect your heart to the source and that is done via Jesus Christ. Jesus is your kingdom prescribed connection. Jesus said that no man can get to God the father or his kingdom without going through him (John 14:6).
We have identified the required components for communication. So let’s get connected. First of all, Jesus said that unless a man is born again, he cannot even perceive the Kingdom of God or the benefits it offers (John 3:3). To be born again requires that one believes in their heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and then confesses with his or her mouth the desire for Jesus to be Lord of their life (Roman 10:9). This does not mean simply repeating the words. It requires that one has a basic understanding as to why it was necessary for God to raise Jesus from the dead and how this is connected to confessing Jesus as Lord and master of your life.
Here’s why. Most Christians talk about Jesus taking away sins so they can go to heaven and avoid hell. Christians also talk about getting SAVED from God’s wrath that is coming upon the earth because of sin. Understand that sin is an issue in the world. Seed-time and harvest is the law that was instituted by God to deal with sin (Genesis 8:22). Human beings will reap what they sow (Galatians 6:7-8) and the Bible states the consequences for both our good and bad deeds. This is called judgment. The penalty for sin is death. For those who persistent in being disobedient to God will incur the wrath (anger) of God and end up in hell (Revelation 20:11-15). Although these things are true, this is not the complete message of the Gospel God’s Kingdom.
The Great Exchange! It is not God’s desire that men die and go to hell. God wants all men to be saved and come into the knowledge of the truth (I Timothy 2:4). Truth came in the form of Jesus Christ, the son of God. Jesus shed his blood and died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. Now, all who believe in Jesus are agreeing to receive his payment for their sin. In exchange, they agree to make Jesus the Lord of their life, and therefore take on righteousness before God. All it takes is faith. Then grace (favor) is provided by God to redeem them from the judgment of death. BUT, there is so much more to this blood covenant.
An Inheritance is waiting for you! As a blood brother of Jesus Christ, you are given the power to become sons of God (John 1:12), which entitles you to receive a spiritual inheritance (Ephesians 1:3-12). Believers are heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus, of everything God‘s Kingdom possesses (Romans 8:14-17). The Holy Spirit is also imparted to every believer as a guarantee of the full inheritance that will come to pass (II Corinthians 1:20-22). Even the blessings of Abraham belong to the believer in Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:29).
Jesus spent most of his time talking about the Kingdom of God and demonstrating its power. The greatest sign of the kingdom’s power was evident when Jesus died and resurrected three days later (John 2:13-22). And while alive, Jesus proved the kingdom’s power over sickness, disease, famine, hunger and poverty, and over the storm (wind and the rain). The believer in Jesus Christ is expected to do even greater works than these (John 14:12). Jesus told his followers to go and take dominion and subdue the earth under the power and rule of God’s Kingdom. Then they were commanded to be fruitful and multiply by teaching others and making them followers of Jesus and joint heirs of the Kingdom of God.
Take Dominion and subdue . . . be fruitful and multiply, does this sound familiar? It should if you remember the blessing God gave Adam and Eve at creation. As a believer in Jesus, we now have access to everything that Adam lost in the Garden of Eden; all the wealth, power and dominion is ours and available for our immediate use in this life on earth. This is why Jesus came to earth. God sowed his son Jesus (in death to sin). God’s seed (Jesus) was buried in the earth and arose in a harvest of supernatural sons (in life eternal and righteous) who also have power over death, hell and the grave.
This is Eternal Life: that we might know and love God as father, and commune together with our big brother Jesus who rules from heaven (John 17:3). Together we can rule on earth in love and peace. Then we will live abundantly on earth, expanding God’s family blessings until the entire earth is filled with God’s love and his glory. This should also sound familiar. Remember the blessings of Abraham? God promised to make him and his seed a blessing so that all the nations of the earth could be blessed. That includes you too!

Dear God in Heaven,
I am sorry that I have sinned against you by doing my own thing. Until now, I never knew you had a good plan for my future; better than anything I could ever imagine. I want your plan and purpose to manifest in my life.
Thank you for sending your son Jesus to earth. I accept his payment for my sins. In exchange I want Jesus to be Lord over my life. I renounce sin and all satanic holds on my life. Fill me with your Holy Spirit, and even as the Holy Spirit raised Jesus from the dead and gave him resurrection life, I ask that you raise me out of my sick, diseased and deadly thoughts, emotions and deeds and let your resurrection power fill my entire being. Holy Spirit, lead me each day, to God’s purpose for my life.
Father, thank you for loving me and allowing me another chance at life; not just any life, but the abundant life that only your kingdom can provide. I have received your son Jesus, I have received the Holy Spirit and I now receive you Father, my spiritual inheritance and all that your kingdom has for my life. I believe in my heart and confess with my mouth that I have received all that I have asked for this day, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
