Beloved, for the past couple of days I kept hearing these words in the spirit. “Cleanse Your Hearts.” Every time it came up I began looking at my heart and asking the Holy Spirit to cleanse any uncleanness from me. Then I heard it again last night and the Lord said to me, “Tell My People To Cleanse Their Hearts.”
We are in a Season of Judgment. Everyone is about to reap a harvest of the seeds they have sown, both good and bad. Many people have not yet received God’s promise for their lives. For some it is because the motives of their hearts are not pure. It is time to “Cleanse Your Hearts.” Others of you have been hurt and continue to harbor unforgiveness and hatred towards those who did you wrong. It is time to “Cleanse Your Hearts.” Some of you have been surrounded by wicked people who have tried to keep you from receiving your promise. Do not despair. Don’t let wickedness enter into your hearts. Keep the promise always before you, no matter what and God is faithful to bring it to pass.
With God, it is all about the heart. With the heart man believes (Romans 10:10) and receives from God. Therefore we are cautioned to guard our hearts with all diligence because out of it come the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23). The word of God can only come to pass in an honest and good heart (Luke 8:15). Forget the ways and motives of this world. They are about to be judged with an evil verdict. You who name the name of Jesus Christ are judged righteous, therefore stand in that righteousness and watch the Lord do marvelous things on your behalf. But, it all begins with the heart. “Cleanse Your Hearts,” says God.
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded . . . Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.” James 4:7-10
